What we check
The signed bytes still match the fingerprint inside the signature. One changed dot is caught.
The maths proves it was made with the key in the signer's certificate.
The signature covers the file, and we tell you if pages or notes were added later.
The certificate chain is traced up to a Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA) India root.
Valid on the signing dayஆவணம் கையொப்பமிடப்பட்டபோது சங்கிலியில் உள்ள ஒவ்வொரு சான்றிதழும் நடைமுறையில் இருந்தது.Every certificate in the chain was in force when the document was signed.
If a trusted time stamp is present, we check it and use its time.
Adobe ஏன் “?” அல்லது “validity unknown” காட்டுகிறது?Why does Adobe show a “?” or “validity unknown”?
Adobe Reader trusts a world list of authorities, and the Indian CCA root is not on it by default. So it cannot finish the chain and shows a yellow question mark. It does not mean the certificate is fake.
Adobe-ல் பச்சை டிக் பெற (ஒரே ஒரு முறை):To get the green tick in Adobe (one time):

- Trust தாவல் → Add to Trusted Certificates → Use this certificate as a trusted root டிக் செய்க → OK.Open the Trust tab → Add to Trusted Certificates → tick Use this certificate as a trusted root → OK.
Close, then click Validate Signature. The “?” becomes a green tick.
Root certificates are published by CCA India at cca.gov.in. You can also save them from here:
Advanced: add a missing CA certificate
If the result says an issuer certificate is missing, you can add that CA's .cer file (from the CA's official repository) and check again. It is used only on this page.
This is a technical check. Revocation (whether the CA cancelled the certificate later) is checked only when that data is inside the PDF. For legal matters, confirm with the issuing office or its own verify page.
